Today we went to St.Ives to the Tate.
The Tate St.Ives is a gallery, and a massive part of St.Ives, it's one of the main tourist attractions. It presents modern and contemporary art, The art displayed in The Tate is often created in cornwall, sometimes artists come to St.Ives and paint or draw, so the art is useally always unique to St.ives.
The Tate has links with local school, St.Ives school, where i attended, and Newlyn school,
when i was at St.ives i remember we had a few school trips to the Tate, and on a few occassion we linked our work in with the Theme or art in the Tate.
The views from the Tate were amazing, and the Tate definetly use this to their advantage, reflecting the views in the art work.
When we got to the Tate, Rebecca, who co-ordinates the education activities gace us a tour of the Gallery, and answered all of our questions.

The main Artist in the Tate displayed when we got there was an artist called Lily Van Der Stokker, who drew some really nise drawings, directly onto the walls!
The drawings were done in the style of a childs imagination, and had a sence of innocence about them, i really liked the drawings, and all the colours were really well used and really gace the gallery a unique and artistic look.
