I plan to make a video for the theme 'home' so i want to film my video around st.ives and cornwall, on the beach, so i'll have lots of different shots of the sea and the island to show St Ives from my almost, point of view, and what it means to me. I might be using some archive footage in my video aswell, just to show how it was in the past, in contrast. I don't really plan to have any voice over in the short film but i will use my own music, i want the music to be calm and relaxed, but i will have to see what goes with the video when it's done, i don't want a story line in my video either, i want it to be an alternative video, lots of different shots, i want to make them go together really well, so i'll do some mind maps for idea's.
I will proabably want mostly fairly still shots. And i have a couple of idea's already, as i've done a few mind maps,
i want shots from lots of different places in st.ives aswell as my home, just everywhere that might mean something to me, that i'd see as home really.
The one thing i really don't want to do, is make it look like a tourist video, i want to show st.ives and cornwall in general in my eyes, how i'd see it, not paticuarly all the perfect bits, but what seems perfect to me.
the things i love about cornwall and my home.
As i live in St Ives it will be really easy for me to do the filming and i can just walk into town and film, i might also take some photographs to put in the video. and i can just edit it when i get into college, as the computers there have all the software i need, but i will make a budget as if i didn't have all the equipment from college.
When the audience finish looking at my video i want them to have to think about the video, and hopefully make them see st.ives in a different way.
I've made a time management plan, i think it will probably take about 5 weeks, i'll try my best to stick to the plan.
Week 1- Plan my video, story board and come up with idea's on where to film and all the basics.
Week 2 – Look at the old footage and come up with my final idea's as the footage i'm given may make me change my mind on some of my plans.
Week 3 – Go out and start filming
Week 4 – Edit some of the footage i have, and carry on filming.
