We spoke to the staff and both the venue's and asked them questions about their oranisation and events they hold.

The Acorn centre put on their own events, they also use their building for partys and gig's for people who need a venue to hold their events. The Acorn centre also hold various different events with lots of different entertainment, from music to theatre, and everything in between, so it's open to everybody, for a every age range really, music for the younger generation, and talk and comedy for the older generation, so a big audience.
Every year the Acorn release leaflets and booklets advertsing events they're holding, but they also have an events section on their website, as the dates tend to change die to weather conditions and other variables.
the funding for the Acorn centre comes from donation and small grants from the council, but it has been recently announced that the finding for the Acorn theatre will have to close down at the end of the summer season this year due to lack of funding. The theatre has been open and running for 40 years and was a big part of the community, so it came as quite a shock to the locals.

The Penlee gallery is a gallery and museum specifically for cornish art - the Newlyn and Lamorna Schools of art take up most of the exhiviting space there.
Penlee house Gallery and Museum is the only cornish venue specialising in the Newlyn school and early St.Ives artists.
Unfortunetly at the moment their community arts projects arn't running, due to a change in management, but the projects will be up and running again soon.
The Penlee gallery was built in 1865 as a gracious Victorian home, Penlee House has been converted to create a first class gallery and museum set within and attractive park. It specialises in showing the area's unique, rich cultural heritage incorporating the historic collections of penzance town council and Newlyn art gallery.
