Researching Awen, the company that runs the Tre project.

I've been on Awen's website, and there was a lot of usefull infomation there.
Here's some of the infomation i found out,

awen is a media production social enterprise based in West Cornwall.
The ethos at the heart of awen productions is the creative use of digital media as a tool for positive social change, i think that sounds really good, they're not just a company that create video's,
they actuarly have a motive, something to strive for, it's inspiring.
I also found out they don't make there video's for a profit, they have a "more-than-profit" ethos, which means all profits are routed directly back into community projects we're developing.
i think thats really nice, because they're not doing i selfishly, it's just their passion, and the whole community can get involved with the company and their projects.

They've done lots of different project in the past, so i decided to look into what they've done, so find out more about Awen productions.
These are some of they're past projects.
  • Tyskennow Kernow

'Tyskennow Kernow is a competitive annual commission of £5,000 to make a short film using Kernewek. The award is supported by Cornwall Film Festival, and funded by 'MAGA' and Awen

What Their looking for is a great idea for a short film that uses Kernewek (the Cornish language)
wholly or substantially in an interesting way.
I worked at falmouth film festival last year, and i think i may apply to volenteer this year aswell, so i may get to see some of these video's!

  • Environmental Films Screening Tour
